There is a luminosity to the wood Cate chooses that gives her artwork unique appeal. Woodburned illustrations are an excellent choice for a birthday, wedding or special occasion gift, or as a decorative addition to any home or office décor.
Cate can work from your photograph, provided it has enough detail. She can take a photograph, if you are relatively local, or research a composition to suit any theme. With the advent of technology, commissions are easily achieved over long distances.
Each woodburned illustration takes a considerable amount of time, anywhere from 10 to 40 hours. Most custom pieces range in price from $300-800+ depending on preparation, overall size and detail.
The family commissioned "Rusty All-Star" after he died suddenly. These are the images given to use as reference, along with some other instructions. Cate had to only two weeks to complete this illustration in time for a memorial benefit. Click on image for more details.
