Rusty All-Star
Commissioned by the Family in Memory of Russell Leon Couturier (Sept. 1, 1957 - Aug. 25, 2007) Rusty passed away quite suddenly, only one week shy of his 50th birthday. An avid life-long sports fan, it seemed fitting to do his portrait in the style of an old-time baseball card. This portrait was done by incorparating the desired features from the client's two photos along with a copy of Rusty's signature. At a benefit raffle, this piece netted almost $1000. The winner then presented Cate's illustrative tribute to Rusty's mother. By all reports, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. |
